Attended Georgia College at Milledgeville, Georgia -        1971 - 1972    (Business Administration)

Military:   U.S. Navy 1973 - 1976 - Dental Technician
Stationed in San Diego, California and Charleston, S.C.

Saved:   December, 1973 in Charleston, S.C. in my apartment as my roommate shared with me his experience the weekend before he shared with me how to be saved!  I got on my knees as a Sailor and trusted Christ as my Savior.

Married: Married Ranee Webb from Decatur, Georgia on January 5, 1974

Baptized: We attended Charleston Heights Baptist Church and it was there that my pastor, Jay Snell baptized me in March, 1974

Called to Preach:  March 22, 1975 God extended a call to me to preach the Gospel; and I surrendered to preach at 2:00 a.m. with a broken heart and a vision to preach the Gospel.

Girl's Rehabilitation Home:  Ranee and I served in our church in Charleston; and we were asked by our spiritual leadership in the church to operate a home for girls/women with drug and alcohol addictions.

Youth Ministry:  Became a part-time Youth Director in Charleston and we saw scores of young people come to Christ.

Bus Ministry:  We ran a bus to the poor areas in our city picking up children and teens to attend our church service; and God blessed so enormously.

We went off to Seminary/Bible College in Crown Point, Indiana and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pastoral Theology/Leadership.

Church Ministry:  We served on staff as an assistant pastor at one of the largest churches in America; and my main responsibility was Evangelism/Visitation Director.

Church Ministry: We moved to Texas and took my first pastorate in 1986.  We humbly saw God bless with a core of 70 people that grew to over 800 on a high day of attendance.

College Ministry:  We were asked to move to South Carolina and become the Vice President of a Bible College.  We served faithfully there for 5 years from 1991 to 1996.

Church Launch:  In 1996, we launched a new church plant in Martinez/Evans, Georgia with my family and a few people who had a heart to help us. We renovated buildings, leased buildings, and then in 2002 purchased 9 acres and built a beautiful church facility in Evans.  God moved in our hearts, and with the support of the deacons/elders we sold our church property to another thriving church.  God allowed our church to bless other churches and help start up other ministries that needed our help.

Conference Center:  God blessed our church and gave us a beautiful building in Augusta to be used for many purposes; and we launched The Vine @ Downtown.  God saw fit to allow us to minister to many in the Olde Towne Neighborhood and in the Urban areas of the city.

Church Move to Grovetown, Georgia:   After prayer and seeking counsel with many, our church felt compelled to plant a new church in Grovetown on Louisville Road.  By allowing  us to purchase 5 acres of beautiful land with the option to purchase another 5 acres connecting; we decided as a church body to build a new (Old-Fashioned) church facility.  It is with great joy that we anticipate growth and community outreach.  Our desire is to "Influence All Generations" and do our best to be an encouragement to the Grovetown Community.

Church Name:   The Vine Church at Grovetown
